MDD Augmentation: Stimulants

We continue our lecture series “10 Augmentation Strategies for MDD” with our sixth lecture on the role of Stimulants as an augmentation for major depressive disorder (MDD).

Stimulants have been intuitively considered as treatment options for depression for a very long time. It is often said that Freud treated his own depression by snorting cocaine. As of now, we have a limited amount of high-quality evidence to support the use of stimulants for MDD augmentation.
