MDD Augmentation: L-MethylFolate

We continue our lecture series “10 Augmentation Strategies for MDD” with our fourth lecture on the role of L-MethylFolate as an augmentation for major depressive disorder (MDD).

L-MethylFolate [Deplin] is a prescription medical food approved by FDA and is indicated as an adjunctive treatment for MDD. L-MethylFolate is different from folic acid as this is biologically active form of folate & more readily crosses the blood-brain barrier.
