[Dec 03]: Managing Bipolar Depression: Treatment Update 2023

In this lecture series, Dr. David Osser will provide a recent Update on the Management of Bipolar Depression from his Psychopharmacology Algorithm Project.

[Dec 09]: Clinical Case Discussion: Antidepressant of Choice with Treatment-Resistant Hypertension?

[NEW UPDATE]: Dr. Satinderpal Kaur (Family Medicine) & Dr. Harvinder Singh (Psychiatry) will discuss clinical cases to integrate the clinical cases from Psychiatry and Medicine.

This first discussion will focus on how to choose an antidepressant in patients with treatment-resistant hypertension. 

[Dec 10]: Journal Club 23: Psilocybin for Treatment-Resistant Bipolar 2 Depression

On Dec 6, 2023: JAMA Psychiatry published this open-label nonrandomized controlled trial suggesting the efficacy of psilocybin with psychotherapy in BDII depression. We have discussed this article in our journal club #23 of Psychiatry Education Forum Academy. 

[Dec 16]: Psychotropics Drug-Drug Interactions: Antidepressant of choice with Atomoxetine?

Dr. Harvinder Singh will discuss the importance of understanding how various antidepressants interact with Atomoxetine and how to use this information to choose the antidepressants.
