Propranolol for TBI

PROPRANOLOL FOR TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY

Traumatic brain injury can significantly impact an individual’s life, in terms of cognitive, behavioral, and physical impairments.

Among these, aggression remains the most challenging for patients and their family caregivers. Non-Pharmacologic interventions are first-line followed by pharmacological options. Beta-blockers including propranolol have shown efficacy in randomized controlled trials and case reports.
