Prevent our Weekly Emails in Spam Folder

 

Dear Psychiatry Education Forum Members and Physician’s Guide for Clinical Psychiatry Subscribers. 

I have noticed that only 60-70% of our emails are going to your inbox, rest are going directly to your spam folders. 

Here is what you can do to prevent our emails in your spam folders.


(A) FOR GMAIL USERS:

(1) Check your spam folders for our past emails, and “UNMARK AN EMAIL AS SPAM”.

Check these step-by-step instructions provided by gmail support:

  1. On your computer, open Gmail.

  2. On the left, click Spam. If you don’t see Spam, click More.

  3. Open the email.

  4. At the top of the page, click Not spam.

(2) To stop a message from being sent to Spam in the future, you can: ADD THE SENDER TO YOUR CONTACT.

Check these step-by-step instructions provided by gmail support (check “Add a single contact” for details):  

  1. Go to Google Contacts.

  2. In the bottom right, click Add Add. (If you don’t see Add Add, go to add contacts in old Contacts.)

  3. Enter the contact’s information.

  4. Click Save.

(B) FOR YAHOOMAIL USERS:

Check your spam folders for our past emails, and check these step-by-step instruction provided by yahoo support (check “Unmark email as spam” for details):

  1. Go to https://mail.yahoo.com/mail in your device’s browser.

  2. Tap the Sidebar menu icon Image of the side menu icon..

  3. Tap the Spam folder.

  4. Select one or more emails.

  5. Tap the Move to icon Image of the Move mail icon..

  6. Tap Inbox.

(c) FOR HOTMAIL USERS (OUTLOOK MAIL):

  1. Click the settings gear icon at the top right of Outlook.com.

  2. Click View all Outlook settings at the bottom of the pop-out menu.

  3. Go to Mail Junk email.

  4. Type a sender’s email address or domain into the text box in the Safe senders area. (our email address: drharvinder206@hotmail.com)

  5. Click Add.

  6. Click Save at the top of the page.
