Journal Club #5: Comparing Bipolar Depression Guidelines

This journal club will compare the following two recent guidelines for the management of bipolar depression:

  1. Canadian Network for Mood and Anxiety Treatments (CANMAT) and International Society for Bipolar Disorders (ISBD) 2018 guidelines
  2. The Psychopharmacology Algorithm Project at the Harvard South Shore Program: An update on bipolar depression (2019).

These guidelines will be compared in the following four sections:

  1. First line treatment
  2. Second line treatment
  3. Third line treatment
  4. Not recommended treatment
